Using the Surestep™ Post Insertion Foley Care System
Consisting of wipes and easy-to-read directions, the Surestep™ Post Insertion Foley Care System help patients clean the area surrounding the catheter after insertion. This system offers straightforward directions for home use and the strength needed for hygiene in clinical settings.
Product Features
Each set of wipes features a non-antiseptic soap and water blend from Gojo™ Industries. Along with this formula, each package aids the cleansing process with:
Easy-to-Read Directions: Picture-based, step-by-step instructions prevent confusion and improve the wipes’ effectiveness to avoid infection. Instructions consider both male and female patients.
Compliance Sticker: Packaging includes an orange compliance sticker, helping you determine if hygiene care was performed in the morning or evening.

Directions for Cleaning Prep
- Before starting the cleaning process with Surestep Foley Wipes, ensure proper setup.
- Wash your hands thoroughly and put on clean gloves.
- Place an absorbent pad or chux beneath the patient to catch any potential spills or drips.
- Take all 5 wipes from the pack and set them on the absorbent pad for easy access during the procedure.
- Keep the empty pack aside to refer to the directions if needed and to use the orange compliance sticker after completing the procedure.
Note: that the Foley catheter can remain secured throughout the cleaning process.
