Cutimed® Cuticell® Contact is a sterile, primary silicone wound contact layer. It consists of an elastic and transparent polyurethane film coated with soft silicone. It is designed to adhere to the surrounding skin but not to the moist wound bed and allows exudate to pass through into a secondary sterile absorbent dressing.
Indications: Cutimed® Cuticell® Contact is indicated for acute and chronic wounds such as venous leg ulcers and pressure injuries, post-op surgical incisions, blistering, skin graft donor sites, lacerations, abrasions, and skin tears.
Wear time: Cutimed® Cuticell® Contact can be left in place for up to 7 days, depending on the clinical conditions of the wound and according to established clinical protocols.
1. Clean the wound according to good clinical practice, making sure the surrounding skin is dry.
2. Choose a dressing size that covers the wound and overlaps the wound edges for at least 2 cm.
3. Open the pouch and take out Cutimed® Cuticell® Contact. Ensure sterility.
4. Remove one release liner (1).
5. Apply Cutimed® Cuticell® Contact with the tacky side towards the wound (2), remove second release liner (3) and smooth dressing in place.
6. Cover with a secondary dressing, appropriate for the specific amount of exudate.
7. Frequency of dressing change depends on the clinical condition of the wound.
