Solventum (Formerly 3M)  Kerracel™ Gelling Fiber Dressing is a primary wound contact dressing with a high absorption capacity for the management of moderately to highly exuding, acute and chronic, deep or shallow wounds. Made from 100% carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) fibers, Kerracel Dressing absorbs and retains high levels of exudate, forming a gel which conforms to the wound bed and supports a moist wound healing environment. As fluid is absorbed vertically and locked away, peri-wound skin is protected, helping to avoid maceration. The unstitched design aids by micro-contouring to the wound bed, minimizing dead space where bacteria can proliferate. Conformability aids ease of application, whilst integrity when wet helps to facilitate integral removal.
