LoFric Classic Female 8″ Hydrophillic Intermittent Catheter
LoFric is the worlds first hydrophilic intermittent catheter. The hydrophilic PVP (polyvinylpyrrolidone) and sodium chloride coating is activated by soaking the catheter in water, which forms a slippery layer that is isotonic to urine. It’s specially designed for comfort by maintaining the slippery layer throughout the entire catheterization. LoFric is the only hydrophilic catheter proven in long-term clinical studies to reduce the risk of UTIs and other complications when compared to conventional catheters.

How to Use LoFric Classic Female 8″ Hydrophilic Intermittent Catheter
- Wash your hands with soap and water before preparing catheter.
- Open the pack carefully. Pull the tabs open about 2″. Pour water directly into the pack. Use sterile water only as directed by your healthcare provider.
- Remove the blue tab on the back and attach the packaging to a sink or other convenient dry surface. Do not place LoFric catheters on paper or cloth, as these materials can absorb the catheter’s liquid coating.
- Let the catheter soak for 30 seconds. The catheter is then ready to use according to your healthcare provider’s instructions.
