MedVance Silicone Bordered Sacral Foam Dressing

MedVance Silicone Foam Dressings are highly absorbent, self-adherent foam dressings consisting of polyurethane (PU) foam coated with a soft, hypoallergenic silicone adhesive and breathable polyurethane film. The multilayer structure absorbs a large amount of wound exudate and locks it in the absorbent core to prevent wound bed maceration.

Multilayer System

• Polyurethane (PU) Film – acts as a liquid barrier to prevent external contamination while allowing the passage of oxygen and water vapor transmission; increases wear time.
• Silicone Adhesive – soft and hypoallergenic adhesive acts as a wound contact layer preventing secondary damage and minimizes pain during dressing removal and change.
  • SafeTac Technology – tacks gently to dry surfaces (skin) but not to moist surfaces (open wounds). It molds to the skin’s pores, covering more skin area and seals the wound margins, ensuring exudate does not spread to the surrounding skin.
• Absorbent Core – improves absorbent capacity and provides a moist wound healing environment
