How to Use Sensura Flat Cut-To-Fit One-Piece Drainable Pouch with Filter:

1. Prepare the Skin: Make sure the skin around your stoma is clean, dry, and free of any oils or lotions. This helps the adhesive to stick better.
2. Measure the Stoma: Use the measuring guide provided to accurately measure your stoma size.
3. Cut the Baseplate: Cut the baseplate to match the size of your stoma using scissors. Ensure the opening is not too tight or too loose.
4. Remove the Release Paper: Peel away the release paper from the adhesive side of the baseplate.
5. Apply the Baseplate: Place the baseplate over your stoma, pressing down firmly to ensure a secure seal. Smooth out any wrinkles or bubbles.
6. Attach the Pouch: If the pouch is separate from the baseplate, snap the pouch onto the baseplate. If it’s already attached, ensure it is securely in place.
7. Empty the Pouch: When the pouch is about one-third to one-half full, open the Velcro or clip closure at the bottom and empty the contents into the toilet. Clean the outlet and reseal the closure.
8. Check the Filter: Ensure the filter is functioning properly. This helps reduce ballooning and manage odor.
9. Replace the Pouch: Change the entire pouching system as needed, usually every 1 to 3 days. Remove the old pouch, clean the skin, and follow the steps above to apply a new one.
