CICA-CARE Adhesive Silicone Gel Sheet – CICA-CARE Adhesive Silicone Gel Sheet reduces the redness and visibility of scars in 2-4 months, by hydrating the scar area. It is safe for children to use. It is not safe for use on cracked skin or healing wounds.
Mepiform Self-Adherent Soft Silicone Dressing – Mepiform Self-Adherent Soft Silicone Dressing improves hypertrophic and keloid scars in 2-6 months. They’re thin, flexible, and are contoured to easily cover scars on curves or joints.
Mepitac Soft Silicone Tape – Metipac Soft Silicone Tape is a multipurpose silicone sheet adhesive. It can help manage scars post-surgery.
The tape’s silicone contact layer adheres to skin without irritating it or leaving residue. The polyurethane foam and knit fabric protect the covered skin or scar while allowing it to breathe.
Topical silicone empirically has been shown to have a positive impact on hypertrophic and keloid scars. 1 Mepiform® should optimally be worn 24 hours a day. It is recommended that Mepiform is removed once a day (e.g., when showering or bathing) for inspection and washing of the skin. For prophylactic treatment, Mepiform should be used for 2–6 months depending on the condition of the scar.
